How to Take Off a Spark Arrestor

Power equipment such as trimmers that use nylon cutting line or blades for cutting grass and heavy weeds are used in a variety of situations from home owner use to commercial applications. Small engines used on trimmers often feature a spark arrestor screen designed to catch small hot sparks coming from the exhaust. These sparks, if not blocked, are capable of starting fires when a trimmer is operated in areas that have an abundance of dry fuel including dry grass, brush and limbs.
