How to Override the Clutch on a Belly Mower

The belly mower is a type of riding lawnmower manufactured and sold by the Woods Equipment Company. The mower features several safety features to keep the operator safe when using the heavy-duty machinery. The Powerlink switch controls the electrical output produced by the clutch and operation of the mower. When the electrical output threshold is reached, the mower turns off. If you mow a large area of land, you may reach the electrical threshold before you finish. To bypass and override the clutch so that you can continue your mowing job, reset the Powerlink switch on your mower.

     Power off the belly lawnmower.

     Locate the Powerlink switch on the front of the kickplate.

   • 3

     Move the Powerlink switch to the “Off” position and then back to the “On” position. The electrical ouput system has been reset, allowing you to override the clutch.
