Instructions

    • 1

Remove the spark plug boot from the front of the engine. Remove the plug wire by the boot, and do not pull directly on the plug wire or you will damage the plug wire end.

    • 2

Remove the old spark plug by turning it counterclockwise, using your ratchet and spark plug socket. Some force may be needed to loosen the spark plug initially.

    • 3

Install the new spark plug into the engine by hand, to ensure proper threading. Tighten the spark plug snug with your ratchet and spark plug socket. Turn the spark plug 1/2-turn beyond snug, to compress the spark plug washer. Install the spark plug wire onto the new plug, and push it onto the plug until it clicks and locks into place. Tug on the wire gently to make sure it is locked onto the plug correctly.
