Park the machine on level ground and turn the engine off.
Depress the clutch-brake pedal fully and pull up on the parking brake knob mounted on the console to lock the parking brake.
Block all wheels to prevent the machine from moving during adjustment.
Locate the brake spring leading from the clutch-brake lever to the disc brake actuating lever mounted on the right of the transaxle.
Insert a piece of note paper between the brake spring coils; if you can slide the paper between the coils, the brake is properly adjusted. If not, go to the next step.
Tighten the lock nut situated at the fulcrum point above the spring on the brake actuating lever, using a box-end wrench, until the paper can slip between the coils.
Release the parking brake and remove the wheel blocks. Place the gear lever in the neutral position and depress the clutch-brake pedal fully.
Have an assistant push the machine forward. If the machine moves, repeat the above steps until proper brake adjustment is achieved and your assistant cannot move the machine while the clutch-brake pedal is fully depressed.
