MTD Gold

• MTD sells a series of riding mowers under the MTD Gold brand name. These mowers come in a range of prices, with all of them having a retail price of between $1299 and $1999, as of July 2011, according to the company's website. All of the models come with a limited two-year warranty.

Yardman Bolens

• The MTD company also makes riding lawnmowers under the Yardman and Bolens brand names. These models have between 12.5 and 19.5 horsepower. The fuel tank capacity ranges from 1.36 to 1.5 gallons, and the deck width measures 38 to 46 inches, depending on the model. Prices range between $878 and $999 for the Bolens models, and between $878 and $1,199 for the Yard-Man mowers, as of July, 2011. Every model of each brand comes with a two-year warranty.

Yard Machines

• MTD distributes three riding lawnmower models under the Yard Machines brand through such retailers as Sears and the True Value chain of hardware stores. These mowers have a 6- or 7-speed transmission, 38-inch to 42-inch decks and engines with 12.5 to 14.5 horsepower. Prices, as of July 2011, range between $899 and $999. All Yard Machines Riding Mowers come with a two-year warranty.
