How to Replace the Primer Button on a Lawnmower

A primer button, also known as a primer bulb, allows you to manually force gas into the carburetor and piston chamber before you start your cold lawnmower engine. This priming is an important part of getting your engine to start without pulling on the starter rope all day. If the plastic bulb cracks, it loses its ability to create the suction needed to force the gas from the gas tank. When this happens, you must replace the primer button.
