Instructions for Putting on a Deck for a Troy Bilt Riding Lawn Mower

Slide the mower deck under the lawn tractor so the mower deck rests in a central location.

Slide front lift rods into their holding brackets on the front of the mower deck so the bent ends of the rods face the outside edges of the mower deck.

Raise the lift arms on the lawn tractor with the mower deck lift lever. Turn the height adjustment knob to its lowest setting. Lower the left lever into its lowest position and lock it into place.

Line up the holes in the lift bracket with the holes in the lift links. Insert the clevis pin into the hole and then secure the clevis pin with the cotter pin. Both pieces are supplied with the mower deck. Do this with both sides of the deck.

Attach the front lift rods to the hitch pins on the front of the lawn tractor and then secure them with the clevis pins and cotter pins. Do this with both sides of the deck.

Slide the drive belt on the mower deck around the pulley mounted under the engine on the lawn tractor.
