Locate the black spark pug wire that connects between the spark plug and the coil. Unplug the spark plug wire from the spark plug and coil with your fingers.
Remove the old spark plug with a spark plug socket and ratchet. Thread the new spark plug into the engine head with your fingers and then tighten with the socket and ratchet.
Reconnect the replacement spark plug wire to the spark plug and to the coil.
Locate the oil drain plug mounted on the engine block below the gas tank and remove the oil plug with a wrench. Allow the oil to drain into the drain pan and then reinstall the oil plug.
Remove the knob from the oil filter cover and then pull the cover off the base plate. Slide the oil filter cartridge of the cover and then slide the new cartridge into the cover. Place the cover onto the base plate and then tighten the nut onto the top of the cover.
Remove the oil filler plug from the front of the engine and place a funnel into the hole. Fill the crankcase with 1-quart of 10W30 engine oil. Remove the funnel and then reinstall the filler plug. Remove the filler plug and check the oil level on the indicator stick fixed to the end of the filler plug. Add oil as needed and then reinstall the plug.
Remove the nut on the top of the air filter housing lid with your fingers and pull the lid off the housing. Pull the old filter out of the housing. Place the new filter into the housing and then reinstall the lid. Tighten the lid in place with the nut on the top of the lid. The air filter is located on the top of the engine.
