Check the fuel level of your 6HP Yard Machine lawn mower's gas tank and ensure you have a sufficient amount of fuel. This may be the lone problem behind a nonstarting Yard Machine mower.
Lift up the 6HP Yard Machine lawn mower's engine cover and check the spark plug. The spark plug is near the front of the engine assembly and is connected to the black wire plug. Ensure this connection is still securely made. If it's not, insert the wire back into the plug.
Remove the spark plug from the plug wire entirely if the spark plug was not loose in the first place. You will likely need to replace the plug. Reconnect a new spark plug to the plug wire and test the 6HP Yard Machine lawn mower.
Open the 6HP Yard Machine lawn mower's cover and check the grounding wire if the mower is starting fine but the engine will not terminate when you attempt to cut it off. A disconnected grounding wire is the problem behind such a continuously running engine. Find the thin, black grounding wire at the back of the engine assembly. It will be resting close beside the magnetic coil, which is a circular part directly in front of the flywheel.
Reinsert the grounding wire into the plug it rests on beside the magnetic coil. Shut the engine cover and resume normal operation of your 6HP Yard Machine lawn mower.
