Decrease power on your riding mower if you lack a zero-turn mower model. Throttle down so that you decrease your speed significantly as you approach the corner. Turn the steering wheel gradually so that the mower's deck slowly sweeps over the corner area. This will allow you to ease farther into the corner and get closer to the walls or boundaries of the corner.
Loop around in a complete circle as you come out of the turn so that you approach the corner again.
Approach the corner slowly once more and attempt to carefully sweep deeper into the corner with this turn so as to cut as much of the corner as possible that you missed in the initial sweep. It may not be possible to entirely cut the corner without the help of a push mower or weed eater unless you can obtain a zero-turn riding lawn mower model.
Obtain a zero-turn riding lawn mower model if possible. These more advanced mowers allow you to eliminate your turning radius and make perfect 90-degree turns and 360-degree full sweeps. They are widely sold in yard care stores nationwide.
Use the two levers on the zero-turn riding lawn mower to cut the corner. Pull both levers forward at the same time to move forward. Pull both levers back to send the mower effortlessly into reverse to back all the way up against a corner. Applying more or less pressure in any direction on these levers will cause you to slow down or speed up.
Pull on the left lever only to spin the zero-turn mower in that direction without otherwise moving your machine. Pull on the right lever only to swivel back to the right. Continue pulling on either of these levers to expertly spin your mower in a complete circle in the corner without having to move out of the corner. This freedom of movement will allow you to cut the corner completely.
