Yard Machines mowers use Briggs & Stratton engines to provide power to the mower blade. Like many internal-combustion engines, the Briggs & Stratton engine uses a spark plug to provide an ignition spark to the combustion chamber. A spark plug boot and wire connects the spark plug to an armature that provides the necessary voltage to generate a spark. If the spark plug is not receiving voltage, or other repairs are necessary, you may need to remove the Briggs & Stratton RFI/EMI shielded spark plug boot from the Yard Machines mower. Removing the boot is not difficult, but it does involve disassembling part of the engine.
