How to Take a Drive Belt Off of a Troy Bilt Super Bronco Deck

The Super Bronco is a riding lawn mower manufactured by Troy-Bilt. If it does not feel as if the cutting deck is engaging when the lever is pressed, it may be because the drive belt has become worn out, stretched or cracked. It is not unusual for drive belts to deteriorate over time. Replacement belts are available at most home improvement shops. Before installing a new drive belt, the old one must be removed.

     Park the Super Bronco on a flat and level surface for repair work.

   • 2

     Shift the deck lever to its lowest position.

   • 3

     Remove the deck guard screws with a screwdriver and lift the deck guard up and out of the way.

   • 4

     Loosen the idler pulley nuts with the adjustable wrench and move the idle arm forward. Slip the old belt off the first pulley and then remove it the rest of the way off of each pulley.
