Snapper Riding Mower Attachments

The Snapper Company makes powered yard equipment to include push mowers, snow blowers, and riding mowers. Snapper’s three different riding mower makes -- the Hi Vac, Standard Deck, and RE 200 -- are all designed to hold attachments for different jobs. This turns Snapper Riding mowers into versatile lawn equipment that does more than cut grass.
  1. Collectors

    • Riding mowers can cut up leaves, grass and natural debris on a large lawn. Instead of cleaning that debris manually, a collector can store it all on the mower and allow you to empty it later. Snapper makes collector attachments that can hold upwards to five bushels worth of debris. Discharge tubes attach the collectors to the grass chute along with mounting hardware. Single bag collectors can fit on all models. Clam shell collectors fit on the back of Hi Vac rider models, while twin collectors attach to Hi Vac and Standard Deck models.

    Mulching Kits

    • A mulching kit allows your Snapper riding mower to cut up your grass into smaller parts than when it’s first cut by the blade. This helps keep grass clippings to a minimum and turns the clippings into a natural fertilizer. The mulched clippings also take up less space in the catching bag if that attachment is on your mower. Mulching kits consist of an attachment with smaller sharp edges and a part that fits the blade attachment to the grass chute. Snapper makes the Ninja Mowing Kit that fits the Hi Vac, Standard Deck and RE 200 models.

    Snow Blade

    • You can still make use of your Snapper riding mower even if your grass is not growing during the winter. If your lawn is covered in snow, you can attach a snow blade. The snow blade attaches with a bracket, latches and a chain to the front of the motor. The blade itself is 3 feet long and fits on the Hi Vac and Standard Deck models. Snow blade kits also come with a scraper attachment to remove ice.

    Dethatcher

    • A dethatcher, also known as a power rake, helps remove thatched portions of your grass. Thatch is made of dead and living grass and other natural debris that can make lawn mowing difficult. The RE 200 model is the only Snapper rider mower that can use the dethatcher attachment. The attachment has a pivoting rolling wheel along with several sharp poles extending from its frame downward. The dethatcher attaches to the front of the mower so that it runs through the thatch before the blades get to it.
