How to Charge a Homelite Cordless Mower Battery

A Homelite cordless mower receives power from its 24-volt rechargeable battery. Charge the battery through an alternating current electrical outlet via the charger that Homelite included with the mower, often referred to as a "brick" charger because of its shape. Whether you’re charging your mower for the first time, or the light emitting diodes on the battery meter at the back of the mower indicate a low or nearly depleted battery, charging your Homelite cordless mower battery doesn't take a lot of effort. It’s a simple plug-and-go set up.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off your Homelite cordless mower, remove the switch key and set the key aside. Move your mower to a cool, dry place near a 120-volt 60 hertz electric outlet.

    • 2

Find the battery meter -- identified by five color-coded LEDs -- on the left back side of the mower. Look for the charger plug-in port to the right of the meter. Push the plug from the battery charger into the port.

    • 3

Plug the AC plug from the brick charger into the outlet. Wait up to 17 hours for the battery to charge and the green LED on the battery meter to turn on to indicate a full charge.

Unplug the charger from the outlet and mower and then use the mower as needed.
