Electrical System

• The parts in the electrical system control all the electrical devices in the Ariens Zoom 2040 mower. These parts includes the wiring harnesses, terminals, solenoids, switches, fuses and cables that connect the electrical components of the riding mower.

Engine, Exhaust, Idlers and Belts

• Each Ariens Zoom 2040 comes with a different parts manual for the type of engine installed on that model year mower. Ariens uses Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Kalwasaki, Kohler and other engine manufacturers to power the Ariens mowers. Most Zoom 2040 mowers have the Kohler engine, so you must have this engine manual to order replacement parts. Engine parts include the exhaust parts, idlers used on the engine to drive the transmission and PTO, as well as a list of the different belts that connect to the engine.

Frame, Footrest, Casters and Tires

• Another parts category that the Ariens Zoom manual includes is the frame, footrest, casters and tires parts list. Each bearing, nut, bolt, screw or metal frame component is included in this category. The tires listed in this section of the parts manual are the smaller tires that connect to the front of the riding mower. The larger back tires are found in another section of the parts manual.

Transaxle, Dump Valves and Rear Tires

• The rear tires are on the list of parts used for the rear of the riding mower. These parts also include the drive shaft, transaxle, dump valves and drive gears of the 2040. Each of these parts control the rear drive of the Ariens Zoom and connect to the frame of the mower.

Steering Controls

• The Ariens Zoom 2040 mower does not use a steering wheel like conventional riding mowers. The mower has hand controls and levers that steer the lawn cutting machine.
