How to Make Your Own Deck Cleaner for Your Lawn Mower

Making your own deck cleaner for your lawn mower helps keep it running efficiently. The deck is the undercarriage of the machine. It becomes clogged with dirt and grass clippings. This results in improper air flow to the side discharge or grass clipping bag. The debris under the deck also causes moisture to cling to the area, along with lawn fertilizers that are corrosive, resulting in rust. Car shampoos or washing solutions are effective in cleaning lawn mower decks, but these are often pricey. Make your own deck cleaner with inexpensive products.
