# How to Remove the Mower Deck on a Kubota BX2660
The Kubota BX2660 riding mower features a 25.5-horsepower engine and a single-blade mower deck. You may have occasion to remove the BX2660's mower deck for repair or replacement if it has become damaged or otherwise faulty over time. You can remove a Kubota BX2660 mower deck regardless of whether you are familiar with mower deck removal or lawn tractor troubleshooting and repair.

Park the Kubota mower on a level area. Turn off the engine.

Pull the lift lever to raise the mower deck.

Check each side of the mower. There is an adjuster arm on each side, with two oversize hairpins in each side of the arms. Use pliers to pull each of the four hairpins out. Slide the washers out as well.

Use your pliers to remove the extension spring from the blade control rod on the deck's bottom.

Find the hanger rod. The front hanger area of the deck houses the rod. Use your hands to simply pull this rod from the hanger.

Find the stock pulley near the two rear tires of the Kubota mower. Lift the drive belt off this pulley with your hands.

Pull the loose mower deck out from under the right side of the mower and set it aside.
