A scantily siphoning valve in one's sprinkler system is usually the result of a leak. Do-it-yourself enthusiasts with some experience with home repair are often able to identify and repair the leak without contacting a professional, who would charge a great deal to perform this repair. It is critical to repair scantily siphoning valves, because if left untreated, they allow fertilizer and pesticides to travel from the lawn into faucets and transfer to humans.
