Cub Cadet 1711 Hydro Information

The Cub Cadet 1711 Hydro is an American-brand commercial tractor manufactured by the Japanese engine company Yanmar. The 1711 was sold under the Cub Cadet Commercial name and discontinued in 1985, after only one year on the market. This unique model features a Kohler engine and hydrostatic (fluid) drive.
  1. History

    • The Cub Cadet 1711 Hydro was manufactured in 1985. During this year, Cub Cadet manufactured a total of 9,599 tractors with serial numbers from 737625 to 747224. Other Cub Cadet tractors that share these serial numbers include models 1210, 1512, 1604, 1606, 1710, 1712, 1912 and 1914. The 1710, 1711 and 1712 were discontinued after one year.

    Horsepower and Drive

    • The model number of a Cub Cadet tractor provides information on the model's Kohler engine. Odd-numbered models have hydrostatic drive, while even-numbered models have a clutch, or mechanical, drive. The first two numbers of the model represent the tractor's horsepower. Like the 1710 and 1712 models, the 1711 Hydro has a 17-horsepower engine. The 1711 is the only tractor in the series with a hydrostatic drive.

    Replacement Parts and Attachments

    • The 1711 is a collector's item and still in circulation as a used model. Replacement parts and attachments are readily available from Cub Cadet and authorized dealers. Available attachments include a snow thrower, lawn sweeper, triple rear bagger, tiller, front or rear weight bracket kit and utility cart.

    Authentication

    • For a 1711 Hydro to be authentic, the serial number must fall from 737625 to 747224. The Cub Cadet 1711 Hydro's serial number can be found on the right or left side of the transaxle gearbox housing, in a metal frame behind the seat or on the left side of the tractor's frame rail. The manufacturer might have painted over the serial number.
