How to Disassemble a Ryobi 700R

      Unplug the power cord of the Ryobi 700R lawn trimmer from the power source, and remove the power cord from the lawn trimmer. Unfasten the four Phillips screws that hold the cutting attachment shield to the trimmer with a Phillips screwdriver, and remove the shield from the trimmer.

      Turn the bump cap on the bottom of the lawn trimmer counterclockwise to unscrew it from the threads on the end of the trimmer. Remove the trimmer line spool from the bottom of the trimmer, and unfasten the wing nut to take the bolt out of the trimmer handle.

      Remove the handle from the trimmer, and unbolt the shaft housing from the Ryobi 700R lawn trimmer engine with a socket wrench.
