  1. Killing the weeds

      Spray the bur clover with a store-bought pesticide that has 2,4-D, MCPP, or dicamba.

      Spread grass seed in the areas where the weeds have died. This will help prevent the weeds from growing back.

      Apply pre-emergent weedkiller granules in the early fall to help prevent the weeds from growing in your yard next year.
