Locate the supply line connection "T" fitting along the main supply pipe. The T-fitting has female pipe threads and is the point where you will connect the male Funny Pipe fitting.
Place one end of the Funny Pipe fittings into the supply hole and turn it clockwise until tight.
Place the bottom of the sprinkler assembly on the other end of the Funny Pipe fitting. Turn the sprinkler clockwise until it's tight on the fitting.
Place the sprinkler in the desired location in the ground, holding it straight up and with the top of the sprinkler level with the surface. You can stretch the sprinkler as far as the Funny Pipe will go, but be careful not to pull too hard on the pipe. You can also have some slack in the line when you choose a position for the sprinkler.
Use a hand shovel to fill the area around the sprinkler with dirt. Keep positioning the sprinkler where you want it as you fill the hole with dirt.
Pack the dirt with your foot until it is solid and level with the surface.
Turn on the sprinkler system, and turn the nozzle of the new sprinkler in the direction that you want the water to spray.
