How to Mow Stripes in Grass

Mowing stripes in your grass gives a lawn or sports field a professional look. You can create a striped lawn effect by using a roller attached to the mower to flatten the blades of grass in different directions. When grass leans towards you, it looks darker; grass that is leaning away from you looks lighter. You can also create a striping effect without a roller, although it won't be as dramatic. Adding visual interest to grass with striping is simple.
