Locate the circuit breaker box, if the air conditioner doesn't turn on or function at all. The circuit breaker might have been tripped. In the box, find the circuit breaker that's assigned to the air conditioner socket area. If the circuit breaker has been tripped, switch it fully off for a few seconds, and then switch it back to the "On" position. Turn the air conditioner on by twisting the operation mode dial on the front of the unit to any function besides "Off."
Unplug the power cable from the AC outlet to reset it, if the air conditioner has no power. Allow the air conditioner to sit for a moment. If you have another appliance that fits the same outlet size, plug it in and test it for proper operation. If the device fails to operate, the outlet might be damaged. Plug the Samsung back in and try again. If the air conditioner was just recently turned off, allow three minutes to pass before you turn it on again.
Twist the operation mode dial or press the operation mode button to "Low Cool," "Med Cool" or "Hi Cool" and twist the "Thermostat" dial or press the thermostat increase button to a colder temperature, if the Samsung fails to blow cold air. The two fan modes only circulate the air that is already present in the room. If one of the three cooling modes is already selected, the temperature in the room might not be high enough for the currently selected temperature. Increase the temperature to a colder temperature setting.
Slip your fingers into the air filter handle to the left of the operation mode settings and pull open the front grille. Grasp the air filter, which is located within the front grille, and pull the air filter out. Clean the air filter with either a brush or a vacuum. Slide the air filter back into the grille and close the grille.
Remove blockage from the front of the air conditioner, such as drapes, paper or furniture if the AC is not cooling the room. If something blocks the flow of air going into or out of the Samsung air conditioner, air conditioner can't cool properly.
