Turn off the main irrigation line valve by twisting the lever or knob to the right. If the main irrigation line valve features a lever, bring the lever adjacent with the main line to turn it off.
Sand down the ends of the PVC pipes with sandpaper until each end is smooth, with no rough edges.
Install a PVC T-fitting between PVC pipes in the trenches. Apply PVC primer to the ends of the PVC pipes and inside the straight portion of the T-fitting. Wipe PVC glue into the straight part of the T-fitting and on the ends of the PVC pipes. Insert the pipes into each end of the T-fitting, completing the line of the irrigation system plan. Twist the pipes a quarter-turn inside the fitting to settle the pipes. Wait approximately 15 seconds for the glue to dry before letting go of the connection.
Wrap Teflon tape on the end of a swing-pipe assembly in the direction of its threads. Wrap Teflon tape onto the threaded end of a Lowe's sprinkler housing.
Twist the small end of the swing-pipe assembly onto the open, threaded end of the T-fitting. Tighten the assembly to the T-fitting by hand.
Twist the bottom of the Lowe's sprinkler housing onto the larger part of the swing-pipe assembly. Tighten the housing to the assembly by hand.
Repeat Steps 2 through 6 until all the Lowe's sprinklers are installed.
Fill the trenches with dirt. Confirm that each sprinkler housing is installed vertically in the ground. Confirm that the spray head of the Lowe's sprinkler is just above and level with the ground.
Remove the sprinkler spray heads, if possible, and open the main irrigation line valve. Twist open the solenoids on the irrigation valves to allow water to flow through them, one at a time. Allow water to flow through the valves until all the debris and dirt that might have accumulated within the pipes during installation has vanished and the Lowe's sprinklers run clear.
