Turn off the electrical power to the sprinkler system timer.
Turn off the water supply to the anti-siphon valve.
Remove the waterproof electrical connectors from the anti-siphon valve solenoid wires. The solenoid is located on top of the valve and is cylindrical in shape. Turn the connectors counterclockwise.
Test the wires to ensure no power exists using a voltage tester. Place one probe of the tester to either wire and the other probe on the remaining wire to perform the test.
Separate the solenoid wires from the timer wires by hand.
Turn the 3/4-inch pipe fittings below the anti-siphon valve counterclockwise with an adjustable wrench. Once the two fittings are removed from the threads of the male ends, raise the anti-siphon device from the pipes.
Wrap the threads of the 3/4-inch inlet and outlet pipes with pipe sealing tape. Overlap the tape approximately 50 percent while winding clockwise.
Connect the two pipes to the anti-siphon valve. Tighten the connections clockwise with the adjustable wrench.
Connect either wire from the valve solenoid to one of the two wires from the sprinkler system timer. A new waterproof connector must be used. Tighten the connector clockwise by hand.
Connect the remaining wires together. Secure the wires with a waterproof connector.
Restore the electrical power.
Open the water supply valve and check the fittings on the anti-siphon valve for leaks.
Reset the Lawn Genie timer to the desired times for watering.
