Lay out the Toro sprinkler housings beside the irrigation line near the installed T fittings in the exact spots where sprinkler installation is planned. Inspect the installation locations and confirm that all sprinkler housings are 3 inches away from sidewalks and 6 inches from walls and fences.
Measure the distance between the pipeline fitting and the sprinkler housing. Cut a piece of Funny Pipe to the measured length with pipe cutters. Confirm that the Funny Pipe piece is no longer than 4 inches, as a longer piece might negatively affect the flow.
Wrap all Funny Pipe elbow-to-T-fitting threads in Teflon tape in the direction of the threads.
Screw a Toro Funny Pipe elbow into the bottom of the sprinkler housing. Tighten the elbow by hand. Screw another elbow into the pipeline fitting and tighten it by hand. No glue is necessary for the installment of Funny Pipe onto the T fitting and sprinkler housing elbows, as the Funny Pipe slides onto and remains attached to the elbows.
Slide or twist the Toro Funny Pipe onto the open end of the T fitting elbow, until the Funny Pipe is securely fastened onto the elbow. Slide or screw the Funny Pipe onto the open end of the elbow on the bottom of the sprinkler housing. Confirm that the Funny Pipe is secure.
Fill the trench with dirt, after all sprinklers are attached to the Toro system with Funny Pipe. Point the sprinkler housings upward and pack the soil in firmly on top of the Funny Pipe. Confirm that the sprinkler body is vertical inside the ground. The sprinkler head must be level to the ground and not covered with dirt or grass.
