How to Assemble a WT-324 Carburetor

The WT-324 is a carburetor manufactured by Walbro that is found inside the Poulan Pro chainsaw. The carburetor in the Poulan Pro pumps a two-cycle gas-oil mixture from the gas tank to the engine to keep the chainsaw running at optimum efficiency. At some point it is likely the carburetor may have to be taken apart to be cleaned. Such dis-assembly may be necessary in order keep the chainsaw running efficiently.

  • Allen wrench
  • Needle-nose pliers

Instructions

      Install the jets into the carburetor with a Phillips screwdriver.

      Replace the high speed needle near the top of the carburetor with the screwdriver.

      Set the carburetor on the engine where it is mounted and slip the two hex bolts through the holes at the ends of the carburetor body. Tighten these hex bolts down with the Allen wrench.

      Slip the fuel lines onto the carburetor ports with a pair of needle-nose pliers.

      Set the throttle links through the small hole on the carburetor's control arm.

      Place the air filter holder and the filter in place over the carburetor and insert the mounting screw. Tighten the screw with a screwdriver.
