Measure the length of the privacy fence section.
Tap a wooden stake into the ground where you want the first fence post to be. Measure from this stake down soon to be fence line to the measurement figured in Step 1. Tap a second stake into the ground at this mark. Repeat for every stake on the line. The stakes show where the center of each post should be placed. Run string between the stakes to see the line better and determine if any of the stakes need to be adjusted.
Dig holes for the fence posts. They need to be about one foot wide so that you can easily pour the cement later. The depth of the holes should equal 1/3 of the length of the post plus 6 inches. Where the stake is should be where the center of the hole is located.
Put 6 inches of gravel in all the holes and tamp it down.
Put the fence posts in the holes and cement them in place. Mix cement by following the directions on the package and pour it into the holes. Wedge 1 foot sections of lumber to the sides of the post to keep them upright while the cement hardens.
Drill 3 inch screws through the sides of the panels and into the posts to attach them. Use a level to help you adjust them so that they are not crooked. It is best to use galvanized screws so that they do not rust easily. It is also a good idea to attach the panels so that they are at least an inch off the ground to avoid rot from rain water. Connect all the panels to the fence posts to complete the job.
