How Do I Manually Water a Lawn With a Rain Bird ESP-LX?

The Rain Bird ESP-LX is a sprinkler system controller that you can set to automatically water a lawn at specified times and days. A manual control option is included that allows you to water using all or some of the sprinkler heads at any time. After manually watering the lawn, the unit can be set back to automatic program.

  Turn the control dial to "Manual Watering."

  Press "1" to select the first valve. Press the "+" or "-" button to select the desired valve the system should use to water your lawn.

  Press "Next."

  Press the "+" or "-" button to set the amount of time to water your lawn using the selected valve, from 0 minutes to 12 hours.

  Press "Run" to begin watering.

  Press "Next" to select additional valves to water your lawn at different times. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to select the amount of time to run on each valve. Each additional valve will run automatically after the first valve has completed the specified run time.

  Turn the control dial to "Auto." The ESP-LX returns to the automatic program once the manual watering time has elapsed.
