# How to Use Monty's Liquid Fertilizer
Monty's Plant Food Company manufactures a few different types of liquid fertilizers under the brand name Monty’s Root & Bloom. The Root & Bloom products can be applied at the soil/root level to encourage growth, or sprayed onto leaves and foliage to encourage blossoming and fruiting. Root & Bloom must be diluted with water, as with all types of liquid fertilizer; if applied full strength, liquid fertilizer can burn delicate roots and leaves.
Things You'll Need
- 16 oz. bottle Monty’s Root & Bloom
- Gallon bucket
- Spray bottle
- Funnel
- Watering can

Dilute Monty’s Root & Bloom with clean water in a gallon bucket. Use approximately 1 part Monty’s Root & Bloom to 2 parts water.

Fill a spray bottle from the bucket, using a funnel if desired. Shake well to mix.

Spray the diluted Monty’s Root & Bloom onto leaves and foliage.

Fill a watering can with the rest of the diluted Monty’s Root & Bloom.

Water your plants with the fertilizer, pouring directly at the base of the plants for most direct access to the roots.
