Instructions

    • 1

Measure and cut 44 inches off of one beam. This will be the cross bar that holds the plants.

    • 2

Measure and cut two angled supports. These should be cut at least 12 inches long with 45-degree-angled ends. You can make them larger or smaller, depending on your preference. Just make sure they don't extend out to where you will hang the plants.

    • 3

Screw the 44-inch beam on the top of the longer beam to make a T and then screw the support beams into the post and the cross beam.

    • 4

Paint or stain the wood as desired.

    • 5

Measure and mark the location where you will hang the plants and insert the hangers.

    • 6

Dig a hole that is 2 feet deep.

    • 7

Lay gravel at the bottom of the hole 3 inches deep.

    • 8

      Pout concrete into the hole.

    • 9

Center the post in the hole and allow to dry overnight.

    • 10

Hang your plants on both sides.
