How to Adjust a Hunter PGP Sprinkler Head

The Hunter PGP sprinkler head can be adjusted by anyone. You do not need to call the installer if you need to change the arc or the throw radius. Each of these will need adjustment, depending on how much ground you want the sprinklers to cover. If you install new sprinklers -- or add different ways of watering your lawn -- you may need to adjust your Hunter sprinklers.

Instructions

  1. Arc Adjustment

    • 1

Rotate the nozzle with the palm of your hand, counterclockwise as far as it will go.

    • 2

Rotate the nozzle clockwise until it stops. Hold the nozzle in place here, with one hand.

    • 3

Insert the plastic adjustment key into the largest socket on the top of the nozzle. This is the adjustment socket.

    • 4

Increase the arc by turning the key clockwise. With each full turn of the key, the arc increases 90 degrees.

    • 5

Decrease the arc by turning the key counterclockwise.

    • 6

Remove the key and release the nozzle to finish setting the arc.

    Throw Adjustment

    • 7

Insert the hexed metal end of the key into the range adjustment socket.

    • 8

Turn the screw clockwise to decrease the radius.

    • 9

Turn the screw counterclockwise to increase the radius.
