How to Get the Deck Off of a Husqvarna Riding Mower

The mowing deck on a Husqvarna riding mower controls the cutting attachments and most of the drive system, including the clutch, drive belt and the main pulleys. These decks require frequent inspection, cleaning and servicing. Also, for all drive system maintenance and repairs, you will need to remove the mowing deck. Always follow the necessary safety precautions when operating on a Husqvarna riding lawn mower.

Pull the retainer springs out of the front links and disconnect them from the deck. Pull up on the attachment lift lever to raise up the suspension arms. Slide the mowing deck out from underneath the Husqvarna riding lawn mower. Reinstall the mowing deck in reverse sequence.
