How to Replace a Light Bulb in a Rider Mower

Riding lawnmowers have headlights that allow you to mow your lawn even when you do not have direct sunlight. Just as in a road vehicle, riding lawn mowers headlight bulbs will burn out over time. Fortunately, you can change the light bulb in a riding lawnmower.

      Open your riding mower’s hood to access the light bulb.

      Turn the light socket counterclockwise until it pop’s away from the bezel. The bezel is what holds the light socket in place and is attached to the riding mower. Depending on your mower, you may have to push in safety tabs on the sides of the light socket before you can twist the light socket.

      Pull the light socket out from the bezel.

      Remove the old light bulb by turning it counterclockwise.

      Insert the new light bulb into the light socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.

      Replace the light socket into the bezel and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
