HI 9025 PH Meter Instructions

The HI 9025 pH Meter is a waterproof and portable instrument that measures potential hydrogen pH in a water sample. This device contains a built-in microprocessor capable of providing calibrated pH calculations that factor in the impact of temperature on pH levels. Also, the HI 9025 has a large LCD screen that is capable of displaying both the temperature and pH level of a water sample. Whether you own an aquarium or are a marine biologist, knowing how to properly use this device can provide accurate and trustworthy measurements for maintaining your fish tank or conducting research.

Instructions

  Insert the pH electrode and the temperature probe into the BNC and temperature ports found at the top of the HI 9025C.

  Turn the meter on by holding down the "ON/OFF" button for a fraction of a second.

  Measure the pH of the water by filling a measuring cup with at least 4 ½ centimeters or 1 1/2 inches of sample water, removing the cap of the pH electrode and submerging the tip into the cup. Press the "RANGE" key until the display shows "pH Mode."

  Ensure that the pH measurement is as accurate as possible by factoring the temperature into the calculation. Tap the "RANGE" key until the display shows "Temperature Mode." Dip the probe into the measuring cup and press the "CAL" key to see the temperature compensated pH value.

  Soak the probes in Hanna HI 7061 or 8061 for 30 minutes to clean them after conducting your measurements.
