Load six balls of twine in the twine box. The twine box is located under a lift lid on the baler.
Tie the left three balls of twine together. Do the same for the right three balls.
Route the loose end of left-front ball through the guide closest to it, and the loose end of the center ball through the guide closest to it.
Run the twine through the tension plates. The tension plates can be adjusted to increase or decrease the tension of the bale.
From the tension plates, run each line through the guide on the needle yolk. Strands should not not twist or cross at any point.
Pull the two strands through the guide outside the needle yolk next to the ends of the needle.
Separate the two strands and thread them through the guides and through the needle eyes. Tie them off to the chamber brace.
Feed hay into the baler until the chamber is filled and knotters are tripped.
Cut and remove the strands tied off to the chamber brace in Step 7.
