How to Troubleshoot an Echo GT-2000 with a Hard Start

An Echo GT-2000 lawn trimmer will need its properly mixed fuel to combine with enough air and reach the combustion chamber at the moment the spark plug fires off its charge. A decrease in the supply of fuel, air or a misfiring spark can cause the Echo GT-2000 to make a hard start. It may also quickly die after firing up for a brief moment. To keep this problem from happening, always clean and tune-up the trimmer at the beginning of each season.

  • Brush
  • Rag
  • Approved fuel container
  • Metal hook
  • Replacement fuel filter
  • Freshly mixed Echo fuel
  • Socket wrench

  • Spark plug (if necessary)
