Instructions

    • 1

Check the gas tank for fuel. Fill it with a fuel and oil mixture. Use 40 parts gasoline to one part oil, for example, 1 gallon of gas with 3.2 ounces of two-cycle oil.

    • 2

Press the primer bulb all the way in 10 times to prime the engine. Pull the starting cord to test.

    • 3

Pull the starter rope, while holding down the throttle trigger, if you suspect the engine is flooded with too much gasoline.

    • 4

Drain the gas tank into an approved container if the fuel is over one month old or there are signs of water in the fuel.

    • 5

Unscrew the spark plug from the unit with a wrench and check the end for signs of rust or cracking. Replace the spark plug if necessary.

    • 6

Look inside the spark arrester and clean out any dirt with compressed air and a rag.
