How to Convert a Spot Sprayer to an ATV Sprayer

A spot sprayer is a type of sprayer used for handgun spraying of substances on the ground, bushes and flowers. A spot sprayer is most often used to apply herbicides and insecticides. These sprayers have pressure adjustment capabilities. If you want something stronger than a spot sprayer, you can convert it to an ATV sprayer.

Instructions

Turn off the spot sprayer and verify there is nothing running through the nozzle. Remove the nozzle from the spot sprayer. Unplug the connection from the hose to the spot sprayer. Pull the nozzle off the spot sprayer and set it aside.

Flip the switch on the top of the ATV sprayer and make sure it is turned off. Disconnect the hose from the ATV sprayer. Pull it apart by hand and set the hose aside.

Attach the ATV hose to the spot sprayer. Slide it into place and push down firmly until it is tightened down. Turn on the spot sprayer that now has the ATV nozzle.

Open up the top of the ATV sprayer and fill it with insecticide or another type of pesticide. Turn on the sprayer and press the nozzle to release the chemicals. Check that it is spraying out the chemicals and covering a 140-inch diameter.
