Instructions

    • 1

Take a walk over to your garden with your materials. Look around to find a tree trunk near your flowers. The area should be hidden yet visible. It should be an area where you might look to find elves that are from fairy tales.

    • 2

Take the large flat stone you found and lay it flat. This stone will need to be painted. You are now going to create the doorway for your elf friends. Use your paint brush to paint vertical lines about 2 inches apart from the round top to the flat bottom. Place a door handle on the right side by making a small solid circle with your paint.

    • 3

Let your paint dry while you gather your small rocks. You can choose whether on not you want to paint small foot prints into a few of them or not. Creativity is up to you. You can choose whether to have one or 10 elves in your garden. Take your small rocks and create a path through your garden to the base of the tree trunk. Curvy paths are best. Use the same amount of rocks on each side. Space them a foot away from each other. The path should be a foot wide since elves are smaller than humans.

Your flat stone should be dry at this point. Check for dryness. Bring the stone to through the path to the trunk of the tree. Place the round side up and firmly plant the stone against the tree trunk.

Take your elf statue or statues and place them near the door, on the path or in the garden.
