Instructions

    • 1

Wipe the damaged area with the soft-bristled brush to free it of dirt and built-up grime. Put on your safety gear. The goggles are mainly so you do not get plaster dust in your eyes. Make sure to collect all loose pieces that can be placed back onto the statue.

    • 2

Apply a thin coat of epoxy onto any damaged areas where you will be gluing a piece back on.

    • 3

Place the broken piece on the epoxied surface and press firmly. Hold the piece against the statue for about 15 seconds to ensure a tight bond.

    • 4

Use spackle to fill in the small cracks and other areas that could not be replaced. Scoop a small amount of spackle on the tip of the putty knife and then put it inside of the cracks. Use your fingers to gently push the spackle into small areas.

Allow to dry for 24 hours and then paint over the repaired area with acrylic paint.
