Types

• Depending on the style of the home and front landscaping, homeowners can choose from a number of styles of statues. Fully adult bucks standing tall work well in a lodge-type setting, while small fawn statues may look better on a smaller suburban lawn.

Placement

• Adding deer statuary to a garden is an easy way to decorate the lawn. Small statues can be placed next to a tree giving just a glimpse of the wildlife or can be placed in a group of three on the lawn as if the deer walked there.

Materials

• Different materials are used to construct lawn statues. Many deer statues are made from cement, which is extremely heavy and once placed is rarely moved. This material will outlast most other materials. Plastic is an alternative and works best in a covered area away from the elements. Resin and fiberglass are other options.
