Instructions

    • 1

Decide where in the yard the tool shed will sit. This can be as close to house as desired, yet a good distance to consider is at least 10 feet.

    • 2

Move any and all debris from the area being considered. Begin by removing any loose branches, rocks or yard items from the space.

    • 3

Cut the grass growing on the area. Use the lawn mower on its lowest grass height setting to help reduce the amount of time it will take to remove all of the sod from the area.

    • 4

Remove all of the sod from the space where the tool shed will sit. Allow an additional 2-foot perimeter for best results.

    • 5

Spread out a level 3 inches of ¾-inch gravel over the entirety of the space. Pack down the gravel with a tamper and ensure a level distribution.

    • 6

Pour a 3 to 4-inch thick slab of concrete down over the gravel to help anchor the tool shed in place and prevent any settling.
