Instructions

    • 1

Remove everything from the shed, creating separate piles. Form one pile for items to keep, another for items to throw away and also a pile for usable items that you no longer need that can be donated.

    • 2

Sweep out the shed interior using a broom and dustpan. If spider webs have formed on the roof of the shed, wipe them away with the broom as well. Discard all debris in the trash can.

    • 3

Hose off all garden utensils, machinery and other equipment that requires cleaning.

    • 4

In a bucket, mix a solution of one gallon water and two tsp. liquid dish soap. Dip a rag in the solution and wipe down any objects that require cleaning.

    • 5

Place all small objects in boxes or storage tubs, clearly labeling the boxes with the contents.

    • 6

Place all items from the "keep" pile back into your shed, placing items most used toward the front of the shed for easy access.

    • 7

Place all items from the "trash" pile into the trash can or trash bags and dispose of on trash day.

    • 8

Package all items that can be donated into boxes or garbage bags and deliver to your local donation facility.
