Use of Clear Laserlite for Greenhouses

Clear Laserlite is a type of corrugated polycarbonate sheeting made in Australia. It is designed for use as roofing. The manufacturer recommends Laserlite 2000 for structures such as carports and verandas, as well as greenhouses.
  1. Features

    • Laserlite 2000 is strong, durable, lightweight and impact-resistant. Clear Laserlite 2000 transmits 93 percent of light, while providing shielding from almost 100 percent of ultraviolet radiation, which can be especially harmful to young plants.

    Cautions

    • Laserlite can be damaged by hydrocarbon-based solvents, paint, gasoline and abrasive cleaners. The sheets should not be stacked or stored in direct sunlight, because heat and moisture can collect between them and cause damage.

    Additional Info

    • Laserlite 2000 offers a lifetime warranty. It is fire- and wind-resistant. Over time it will gradually lose light transmission. Over the first 10 years, it will lose not more than 8 percent. Each year after that, it will lose up to 1 percent per year.
