Hoe a row or rows no more than 2 inches deep in your garden.
Plant the garbanzo bean seeds 3 to 6 inches apart from one another.
Spread fertilizer lightly through the row or rows of beans.
Cover the beans with the soil from the garden. Lightly tap the soil down with the hoe over the rows, but not too hard.
Water the rows with a garden hose or bucket after planting, but do not drench them.
Thin the sprouts to 6 inches apart when they begin to break through the ground. Cut with scissors.
Water the beans regularly after they begin to flower.
Harvest the beans after 100 days or when the leaves start to brown.
