List of Plant Tycoon Seeds

During the winter months, gardeners can do some virtual planting with "Plant Tycoon," a plant growing and breeding simulator released in 2007. There are 23 different families of seeds to choose from in this game, and you can grow up to 529 different plants in "Plant Tycoon."
  1. Seed Levels

    • Each seed has four different levels that produce a certain selection of plants. Level one seeds can produce bluestar, citrus, fourpetal, jalapa or spotted sub-species. Level two seeds can produce daisy, fragrant, rosaceae or venomous sub-species. The third-level seeds can produce aureus, fables, blazing, mela, mystic, nox, painted or viola plants, and the fourth level can produce arthurium, baccatus, lilia, tahitian, tilia or venus plants. Higher-level plants and seeds are gained by cross-breeding lower-level plants.

    Tier One Seeds

    • The tier one seeds in "Plant Tycoon" can be purchased from the Garden Shop. The astera seed resembles two green orbs pushed together; they turn large and dark blue at higher levels. The ball cactus seed originally resembles two yellow orbs and later gains blue markings. The maple seed is a small gray pea that grows into a dark brown "UFO" shape, and the maranta seed is gray and oblong before it becomes purple with yellow spots. The seed for the reptans plant starts tan and oblong, but turns different shades of purple.

    Tier Two Seeds

    • Tier two seeds are more expensive than tier one seeds. Fern seeds are yellow and oblong, but gain orange details as they increase in level. Light blue oblong seeds create grass and gradually feature more blue lumps. Pipe cactus seeds are red and round; they gain additional red spots at later levels. The lemonbush seed starts oblong and light gray before becoming prickly and black.

    Tier Three Seeds

    • Tier three contains eight different seeds. Ananas seeds are two gray orbs pushed together that gain stripes as they increase in level. Bamboo seeds start out green with three lumps before becoming red and spiked. The fanleaf seeds resemble orange teardrops that evolve to have purple spots. The orchid seeds begin as gray teardrops and add layers as they increase in level. Gladiatus seeds start out lumpy and tan and gain neon-green markings. The pear cactus seeds start as blue-and-white striped spheres pressed together and become prickly and green. A rare oak seed resembles a gray egg with yellow spots and evolves into an orange and yellow egg. Scandens start as purple ovals and gain a gray border.

    Tier Four Seeds

    • Tier four seeds are the most expensive in the game. The glaber seed starts as a light blue oval before it turns dark blue and grows several spikes. Multiflora seeds are a green and black blend in their lower levels; they later turn red and black and resemble a cocoon. The pitcher seeds start light green and oblong before growing pink tendrils, and the ridgeball seed is tan with a small brown ball attached. The tigerfern starts as a long white seed that gains gray fur, while the weeper begins as a green, cone-shaped seed that turns yellow and grows small cylinders inside the cone.
