Organic Farm Seed Companies

Farms require larger quantities of seed than household gardens, and farms growing crops that are certified organic can only use seeds certified as organic. To be a certified organic seed, the product must meet the USDA National Organic Program guidelines. These seeds cannot be genetically modified, and contamination by pesticides and other seeds must be prevented from altering the organic seeds. When purchasing seed as a farm, buying in bulk saves money. Some organic seed companies lack enough product to satisfy the demands needed by farms.
