Cute Ways to Wrap a Packet of Flower Seeds

Packets of flower seeds can serve as party favors for a flower- or garden-themed party or as a gift for an avid gardener. Wrap the seeds in a cute way that correlates with the purpose of giving the packet of seeds to the recipient using the event, theme or interests of the recipient as inspiration. Wrap the seeds in cellophane to prevent spilling them before adding your decorative wrapping.
  1. Origami

    • Fold plain paper into a packet shape using origami techniques to decorate and wrap your seeds. A regular paper can make two seed packets if you cut the paper in half. Fold the corners in so you can overlap them and create a pocket to hold the seeds. Add stickers, stamps, pictures or paint your floral images to decorate the seed wrappers.

    Corsage

    • Group a few flowers together to create a traditional corsage. Wrap the stems together with florist tape to hold the flowers in place. Wrap a small packet of flower seeds in tulle, silk or another lightweight fabric and insert it inside the center of the corsage. Alternatively, use two small bags of seeds to look like wedding bells if the seeds are wedding or wedding shower favors.

    Containers

    • Wrap the seeds in colorful tissue paper or tulle, then insert the package in a container that complements the theme of the event or the reason for the gift. Use a small terra cotta pot or watering can for a garden-themed party or a friend who enjoys gardening. Place the seeds inside novelty baby carriages, high heels or wedding bells favor containers. Alternatively, use decorative favor boxes shaped like squares, hearts or circles. Write or draw on the containers or add stickers, such as a "Thank You" message, or include the wedding couple's names.

    Sachets

    • Create small sachets to hold the flower seeds using colors or patterns that complement the theme or reason for giving them away. Use tulle, fabric bags, small handkerchiefs or small burlap sacks. Tie the material together with a colorful ribbon that complements the material. Attach a poem, note, quote or phrase by running the ribbon through a small hole in the tag. For example, "Volunteers plant seeds of kindness" could accompany seeds that serve as gifts for volunteers. A poem about nurturing a marriage or child the way you would nurture a flower would be appropriate for wedding or baby shower favors.
